You are just a drop in the ocean, but without you the ocean will not become the ocean.

You are just a grain of sand, but you are a grain of sand that tips the scales.

You are just a drop of dew that soaks into the earth and is gone by noon, but that drop of dew brings life to the seed that grows in the earth.

You are only one, but the Power of One is greater than you dare to dream.

One is not Nothing. One makes a difference.

Your choices can tip the scales of humanity a little bit more toward goodness and truth, if that is your desire.

Margaret Silf, Simple Faith, 38-39

In these days of seeming madness, when the God of Power of Money apparently reigns over the world, when .1% of the population controls the rest of us, or so we are told, it is good to remember that a single act of kindness can change someone’s day, that a prayer can bring peace to a friend, that a smile can wipe out a tear, that a pettiness forgiven can bring healing.

It is good that each one of us is born, born to love, to work, to shoulder, to hug, to console, to cook, to sing, to teach, to pray, to listen… Like the millions of stars in the Milky Way, our own goodness twinkles in Godde’s eternity. In our heartbeat we can hear Godde’s, slowly beating, repeating the words, I love you, I love you, I love you.

Don’t despair. Don’t be afraid. I am with you always. However bleak the news may sound, I am your Godde of history. I walk with you.

And I count on you to tip the scales.
